What does it cover?

The insurance covers all sums up to the agreed liability limits that the insured is obligated to pay as compensation for damages caused to third parties due to negligence, errors, or omissions committed by him, his partner or employee, subcontractors, agents, or consultants acting on his behalf.
Damages are compensated based on claims first made in writing during the insurance term, provided that the actions or inactions of the insured leading to the damages occurred after the start date of the insurance or after the retroactive date noted in the policy.
The liability limits under the insurance policy are agreed upon for each event and in aggregate for all events during the insurance period.
Who can be insured?

For professions that involve a significant risk of damage, such as doctors, lawyers, notaries, builders, and designers, accountants, and auditors, the law requires mandatory "Professional Liability" insurance with minimum limits set by regulation depending on the insured's professional activity. In addition to the mandatory ones, insurance companies offer options for higher, voluntary levels of insurance.
How long is it valid?

An insurance contract is usually concluded for a period of one year, starting from the effective date of the policy.
Special requirements

For some high-risk professions, insurance is mandatory with minimum limits. You may also choose additional coverage for even greater security.
If you stop working

It is important to know that if you cease your activity, you need to secure an additional policy for the next 5 years.
