The "Green Card" is an international certificate recognized by the authorities of all countries participating in the "Green Card" system as a document certifying the possession of valid insurance. This insurance covers the minimum mandatory liability limits for third parties required by law in the visited country.
The certificate is issued together with the insurance policy for motorists and is mandatory when traveling to: Azerbaijan, Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel, Iran, North Macedonia, Morocco, Moldova, Russia, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, and Montenegro.
When traveling in Europe, it's important to know that Kosovo is not a member of the "Green Card" system. Drivers of vehicles registered in Bulgaria, passing through this territory, must obtain insurance valid for Kosovo upon entering the country.
